There shall be moments of comforting  bliss!

Matthew 17:4

Midway into  our math lesson, a  lesson we began with alot of struggling, (I mean struggling because this little girl, due to her tender age wasn’t conscious enough to understand that teaching her is a way of guaranteeing a better future for her) I heard my little learner exclaiming with alot of emotion” uuuh! I’ve never seen 999 for an answer!

As  her little face beamed with a concentrated mix of joy and surprise at seeing 999 for her first time,my mind in a single flash took me over to Peter’s ecstatic experience on the mountain of Jesus’ transfiguration.Peter was momentarily transported in bliss.

We always begin our journey /walk with the Lord in the valley, often times around the desert with its numerous attendant difficulties,at some point, we may feel like is it really not worth the price, Sometimes, like my little learner in our limited human ways of viewing things we do not even see the reason to stick on to the Lord’s call. The Lord our master – the master  trainer however knows just the perfect time to come up the equation that will  feel us with a sense of awe.

No wonnder we are constantly encouraged to stay on or walk on with the Lord,

Hebrews 12:1-2 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” soon it may be  my turn  or yours to come up  with him to the mountain top for a sublime ecstatic experience as was the case with Peter. There, we must joyously exclaim like my little pupil,”Oh I’ve never seen 999 in as an answer!”
Jesus takes us from pain and progressively to glory. Its not the case with Satan,He tries to convince us that we need not go through any  pain even for a single moment.

(Matthew 4:3 “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.”) . Even when he takes us up his own mountain, it is just a way to trip us.He brandishes stolen  or fake glory to us while taking us into eternal pain and predicament.
Father open our eyes to simply follow, to bear a little more, for now by your spirit you do assure us that there will be refreshing moments as we move on with your son Jesus Christ . Amen
